About

My work deals with the roman settlement on the territory of colonia Valentia situated in the middle Rhone Valley from the II e s.before Christ to VIe s. after Christ. I focus on various fields including ceramology and small finds to date numerous sites. The aim of this research is to determine the major changes in the roman settlement from the conquest of gallia transalpina to late antiquity. In this dissertation, the economic link between rural world and the city will be treated through the analysis of pottery workshop, quarries and others data related to the agriculture, farming or craft.

I am also part of the team, led by M. Poux, that unearthed the Villa of Goffieux at Saint-Laurent-d'Agny (Rhône). I work more specifically on the potteries carried out. http://luern.fr/Gofiac/Documentation.htm
